As busy parents of two teenagers, we built Class Retriever to solve a problem we were having:

We couldn’t see what was going on with our students’ assignments in Google Classroom.

In order to get any visibility, we were having to watch over our teens’ shoulders as they logged into their school account and then went into each of their teachers’ Google Classroom classes one by one. And that only happened when we could find time to do that with our students.

Meanwhile, a different system that our school district uses was sending us alerts that work was late or missing, even when it was neither! That system didn’t sync with Google Classroom, and we had a hard time telling what the truth was.

We were unhappy.

Our students were unhappy.

Our nightly dinner conversation was consumed by discussions about missing or late work, many times unnecessarily. It was miserable.

We simply needed to know what had been assigned and whether that work had been submitted or not.

Your district’s IT director is charged with a lot of things, including safeguarding the privacy and security of student data and systems.

Class Retriever is compliant with student privacy laws and we have made the process of approval as easy as can be for these busy IT directors.

We can help you reach your local IT director and request that they authorize the app.
